The Penn Relays, hosted annually by the University of Pennsylvania at Franklin Field, is the world's oldest track and field relay meet and the nation's longest uninterrupted collegiate meet. Races are run an average of every five minutes over 33 hours of competition. In 2012, 49,000 fans attended to view the championships on Saturday as well as the "USA vs. The World" competition featuring athletes who will be competing in the 2012 Summer Olympics.
